Description
KSA “Feng” Series – SnowPetal Katana | Performance Hand-Forged High Carbon Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Black Ishime Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Snow Petal katana is hand-forged from high-carbon modern steel in the traditional Maru style, combining strength with precision. The blade is clay-tempered, featuring a graceful gonome hamon with a bright polished surface and a clearly defined pattern along the edge.
The fittings are crafted with exquisite detail: a round iron tsuba with a blackened finish and an openwork crane motif; blackened white copper fuchi-kashira engraved with elegant wave designs; and a suaka copper habaki that securely connects the blade and fittings. The menuki, also blackened white copper, display a flowing wave motif, adding depth and artistry.
The handle is wrapped in white cotton over natural ray skin, with a diamond-patterned hishigami for a comfortable and secure grip. The saya is finished in black ishime-style lacquer, with a tightly woven white cotton sageo completing the mounting.
Overall, this katana blends traditional craftsmanship with refined aesthetics, creating a weapon that is both striking and elegant.
