Iaito Katana Midnight Blossom is a completed customer sword build centered around an unsharpened alloy blade with a clean Shinken-Hi running along the blade.
The blade has a bright, polished appearance with a flowing wave-like pattern near the edge, while the long groove adds a crisp visual line from the base toward the tip. Rather than making the blade overly decorative, this build lets the geometry and polished surface remain the main focus.
The mounting introduces a much richer colour contrast. A deep navy-blue tsuka wrap is paired with dark handle details and small gold-tone accents, while the floral-patterned tsuba brings an ornate decorative element to the centre of the build. The engraved fuchi and kashira continue the detailed character of the fittings.
The saya provides the strongest visual contrast, combining a black base with vivid red speckled detailing. A matching navy-blue sageo ties the saya back to the tsuka, creating a coordinated colour palette of deep blue, black, red, and antique gold tones.
The result is a distinctive custom iaito that balances a clean blade profile with more expressive floral fittings and a bold saya finish.
