Authentic Nihontō Japanese Sword Katana Signed by Hizen no kuni Muneharu 肥前國宗治 NBTHK TOKUBETSU HOZON TOKEN Certificate
A swordsmith from the 伊予掾宗次 (Iyo no Jo Munetsugu) school.
The blade has a noticeable difference between the base and tip, with a slightly extended and sharp construction. The steel has a well-forged ko-itame pattern with ji-nie and chikei, showing a faint utsuri. The hamon is a bright and clear suguha with small ashi, and towards the tip, it slightly mixes with a wavy pattern. The yokote area has a wider hamon, and the boshi is straight with a rounded return.
