Description
Collectable Katana Crane's Grace | Sanmai Steel Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Purple Gloss Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Crane's Grace katana is forged in sanmai construction, with a hardened steel core flanked by softer outer layers, achieving both sharpness and resilience. The blade reveals a straight grain pattern with a flowing notare-komidare hamon, beautifully formed through traditional clay tempering. Forged in the shinogi-zukuri style with a ridged spine and extended tip, it reflects both elegance and strength.
The mountings feature a mokko-shaped copper tsuba finished in a deep black patina, intricately decorated with crane and floral motifs, symbolizing longevity and harmony. The fuchi and kashira are blackened copper with botanical engravings, adding refinement, while menuki with crane and leaf designs lie beneath the wrap for subtle ornamentation.
The handle is bound in green cotton over aged white ray skin with hishigami inserts, forming a traditional diamond pattern that ensures both beauty and a secure grip. The hardwood scabbard is finished in a rich, high-gloss purple lacquer, reinforced at the mouth, end, and knob with buffalo horn fittings. A green cotton cord completes the design, harmonizing with the handle wrap for a balanced and striking appearance.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
