Description
Collectable Katana Dark Wave | Hand-Forged Folded High Carbon Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Black Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Dark Wave katana is hand-forged in Maru-zukuri style from folded high-carbon steel, featuring a refined masame grain on the surface. The blade displays a flowing notare hamon, achieved through traditional clay tempering, with balanced shinogi-zukuri geometry, an elegant iori-mune spine, and a medium-sized chū-kissaki tip.
The mounting includes a round openwork steel tsuba adorned with a wave motif, finished in deep black patina. The fuchi and kashira carry matching wave designs, harmonizing beautifully with the guard. The tsuka is wrapped in black cotton ito over genuine rayskin with hishigami underlay, forming a precise diamond pattern for both comfort and grip. The saya features a glossy black flute-carved finish, refined yet understated, while the koiguchi, kojiri, and kurigata are reinforced with buffalo horn for strength and durability. A traditionally tied black cotton sageo completes the mounting, giving the katana an elegant and cohesive appearance.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
