Description
Collectable Katana Flame Lion | Hand-Forged Folded High Carbon Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Red Ishime-Ji Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Flame Lion katana is hand-forged in Maru-zukuri style from folded high-carbon steel, featuring a refined masame grain on the surface. The blade showcases a graceful notare hamon achieved through traditional clay tempering, with balanced shinogi-zukuri geometry, an elegant iori-mune spine, and a medium-sized chū-kissaki tip.
The mounting includes a round steel tsuba decorated with a Chinese-style lion motif, finished in a deep black patina. Matching fuchi and kashira carry complementary lion designs, blending strength with artistry. The tsuka is wrapped in blue cotton ito over genuine rayskin with hishigami underlay, forming a precise diamond pattern for comfort and grip. The saya is coated in rich red ishime-ji lacquer with a textured stone-like surface, while the koiguchi, kojiri, and kurigata are reinforced with water buffalo horn for durability. A tightly woven blue cotton sageo completes the mounting, combining elegance and functionality.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
