Description
Collectable Katana Golden Maple | Sanmai Steel Clay Tempered Blade | Gunome-Midare Hamon | Polished Edge | Black Starlight Gloss Lacquer Saya | Hourglass-shaped Tsuka
The Golden Maple katana is forged in the traditional Sanmai construction, combining a hardened steel core with softer outer layers for the ideal balance of sharpness and durability. The blade features a refined masame-hada straight grain pattern and a dynamic gunome-midare hamon, achieved through expert clay tempering. Forged in the timeless shinogi-zukuri style, with crisp lines and an extended kissaki, it embodies both functionality and elegance.
The mountings highlight a noble theme inspired by family crests. A copper mokko-gata tsuba together with the fuchi-kashira are adorned with engraved gilt kamon motifs, radiating refinement and prestige. The koiguchi (scabbard mouth), kojiri (end cap), and kurigata (knob for sageo cord) are crafted from buffalo horn, ensuring both strength and artistry. The tsuka is wrapped in ivory-white cotton ito over genuine rayskin, reinforced with hishigami inserts to form an elegant diamond pattern that balances aesthetics with a secure grip.
The hardwood saya is finished in a lustrous black starlight gloss lacquer, shimmering subtly under the light. Paired with an ivory-white sageo interwoven with golden threads, the scabbard completes this cohesive design, presenting a katana that is both stately and luxurious.
