Description
Collectable Katana Green Blossom | Sanmai Steel Clay Tempered Blade | Small Wave Hamon | Polished Edge | Black Starlight Gloss Lacquer Saya | Hourglass-shaped Tsuka
The Green Blossom katana is forged in the traditional Sanmai construction, combining a hardened steel core with softer outer layers to achieve an ideal balance of sharpness and durability. The blade displays a refined masame-hada straight grain pattern and an elegant small wave hamon (ko-notare), brought out through expert clay tempering. Forged in the classic shinogi-zukuri style, with a ridged spine and extended kissaki, it unites functional strength with graceful form.
The mountings emphasize a fresh and distinctive character. An iron maru-gata tsuba (round guard) together with the fuchi-kashira are finished in green, giving the koshirae a unique personality. The koiguchi (scabbard mouth), kojiri (end cap), and kurigata (knob for sageo cord) are crafted from buffalo horn, providing durability and refinement. The tsuka is wrapped in green cotton ito over genuine rayskin, with hishigami inserts forming an orderly diamond pattern that enhances both aesthetics and grip stability.
The hardwood saya is coated in a deep black starlight gloss lacquer, its surface shimmering subtly under the light. A black sageo woven with golden threads is tied to the kurigata, complementing the lacquered scabbard and completing this cohesive and striking design.
