Description
Collectable Katana Koi Dance | Hand-Forged High Carbon Clay-Tempered Blade with Chōji Hamon | Polished Edge | Brown Ishime Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Koi Dance katana is hand-forged in Maru-zukuri style from high-carbon steel, featuring a distinctive chōji hamon created through traditional clay tempering. The blade has balanced shinogi-zukuri geometry with an elegant iori-mune spine and a medium-sized chū-kissaki tip.
The mounting includes a round steel tsuba decorated with a swimming carp motif, finished in deep black patina. The fuchi and kashira carry matching carp carvings, blending artistry with strength. The tsuka is wrapped in brown cotton ito over genuine rayskin with hishigami underlay, forming a precise diamond pattern for grip and comfort. The saya is finished in brown ishime lacquer, offering a textured, stone-like surface, while the koiguchi, kojiri, and kurigata are reinforced with water buffalo horn for durability. A tightly woven brown cotton sageo completes the mounting, giving the katana a dignified and harmonious appearance.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
