Description
Collectable Katana Sakura Bloom | Hand-Forged Sanmai Steel Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Raden-Style Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This katana, named Sakura Bloom, features a masterfully forged Sanmai blade, with a hardened steel core embraced by softer outer layers for optimal strength and resilience. A flowing Notare-style hamon runs elegantly along the edge, accentuated by subtle variations in the masame-hada grain.
The saya dazzles in black raden-style lacquer, inlaid with shimmering shell fragments that catch the light beautifully, and is reinforced with polished buffalo horn fittings at the koiguchi, kurigata, and kojiri. A navy blue cotton sageo is tied in a refined traditional style. The tsuka is wrapped in deep blue cotton ito over pristine white ray skin in a striking diamond pattern, perfectly aligned with the matching menuki beneath. The fuchi and kashira are crafted from white copper with a rich blackened patina, delicately carved with sakura motifs. The round tsuba, also blackened white copper, is intricately pierced with an elegant sakura design, harmonizing artistry, tradition, and craftsmanship.
