Description
Collectable Katana Shadow Tiger | Sanmai Steel Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Black Gloss Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Shadow Tiger katana is crafted in sanmai construction, with a hardened steel core flanked by softer outer layers for an ideal balance of sharpness and durability. The blade reveals a straight grain pattern with a suguha hamon touched with subtle irregularities, achieved through traditional clay tempering. Forged in the classic shinogi-zukuri style with a ridged spine and extended tip, it offers both agility and balance.
The copper tsuba, finished with a deep patina, is engraved with a “tiger descending the mountain” motif, symbolizing strength and perseverance. The fuchi, kashira, and menuki share the same copper material and finish, creating a harmonious design. The handle is wrapped in black cotton over aged white ray skin with hishigami inserts, ensuring a secure and comfortable grip.
The lacquered hardwood scabbard is reinforced with buffalo horn fittings at the mouth, end, and knob, and is completed with a black cotton cord, embodying both tradition and elegance.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
