Description
Collectable Katana Silent Tiger | Sanmai Steel Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Black Gloss Lacquer Saya | Genuine Rayskin
This Silent Tiger katana is forged in sanmai construction, with a hardened steel core flanked by softer outer layers, achieving a balance of sharpness and resilience. The blade shows a straight grain pattern and a suguha hamon, carefully formed through traditional clay tempering. Forged in the classic shinogi-zukuri geometry with a ridged spine and extended tip, it combines elegance with strength.
The mountings feature a round copper tsuba engraved with a tiger and rabbit motif, finished in a rich black patina for depth and character. The fuchi and kashira are blackened copper with simple, refined contours, while silver menuki lie beneath the wrap, adding subtle detail. The handle is bound in brown cotton over unbleached ray skin with hishigami inserts, forming a secure and traditional diamond pattern.
The hardwood scabbard is finished in black gloss lacquer with shimmering reflective particles, giving it a striking appearance. Reinforcements of buffalo horn at the mouth, end, and knob add both durability and elegance, while a brown cotton cord completes the design in harmony with the handle wrap.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
