Description
KSA “Huo” Series Katana – AxeRhythm | Hand-Forged T10 High Carbon Clay Tempered Blade | Sanbonsugi Hamon | Sashikomi Polish | Red Ishime Saya | Genuine Rayskin | Authentic Kissaki Structure
AxeRhythm is a katana from the Huo Series, defined by solidity, cadence, and controlled force. Forged from T10 high-carbon steel in Maru-zukuri construction, the blade emphasizes structural stability, clean geometry, and dependable balance, making it suitable for both martial arts practice and composed display.
The blade is clay tempered, forming a distinctive Sanbonsugi hamon characterized by repeating, rhythmic peaks along the edge. This pattern reflects disciplined heat control and measured timing during hardening, giving the blade a visual cadence that mirrors its handling characteristics. The polished surface remains restrained, allowing the hamon’s structure to stand out with clarity rather than excess contrast.
The koshirae is fitted with a blackened iron mokkō-gata tsuba featuring openwork axe motifs, symbolizing decisive impact and grounded strength. The fuchi and kashira are crafted from smooth cupronickel, providing a clean, understated contrast to the darker fittings while maintaining a refined, traditional finish. A brass habaki secures the blade firmly, adding warmth and reliability at the junction of blade and mount.
The tsuka is wrapped in black ito over genuine white samegawa, offering a secure and composed grip. The saya is finished in red Ishime-nuri lacquer, its stone-textured surface presenting depth and restraint rather than gloss. A matching black sageo completes the mount, reinforcing balance and visual cohesion.
AxeRhythm is not defined by speed or ornament, but by weight, repetition, and control. It is a katana shaped by rhythm and resolve—well suited for practitioners and collectors who value solidity, structure, and enduring presence.
