Description
Performance Katana Azure Dragon with Maru Blade, Polished Edge with Decorative Hamon, Snow Flecked Saya and Genuine Rayskin
The Katana Azure Dragon is a performance-grade sword forged in Maru construction from modern steel, delivering exceptional durability and responsive handling. Designed for tameshigiri (test cutting) and traditional martial arts practice, it strikes a perfect balance between refined elegance and practical strength.
The blade features a smooth, polished edge that highlights its clean geometry and precise cutting capabilities. A single bo-hi reduces weight and improves balance, producing a sharp tachikaze (audible feedback) with every swing. The alloy tsuba is masterfully carved with a dragon and plum blossom motif, symbolizing power, resilience, and the quiet grace of nature. A matching alloy kashira continues the dragon imagery, lending harmony and symbolic depth to the koshirae.
The saya is finished in a striking black lacquer adorned with white flecks, evoking the image of snow drifting through a midnight sky. Paired with a deep blue sageo and ito wrapped tightly over genuine rayskin, it provides both aesthetic harmony and a secure, reliable grip. A brass kojiri completes the fittings, adding a warm metallic accent to the elegant design.
An exceptional choice for practitioners and collectors, the Katana Azure Dragon blends modern craftsmanship with the poetic spirit of tradition and artistry.
