Description
Performance Katana Azure Flame with Maru Blade, Polished Edge with Decorative Hamon, Black Lacquer Saya and Genuine Rayskin
The Azure Flame is a performance-grade katana forged in Maru construction from modern steel, offering durability and precise handling. Designed for tameshigiri (test cutting) and martial arts practice, it embodies a seamless fusion of elegance and power.
The blade displays a polished edge with a distinct midare-style hamon, emphasizing its refined geometry and cutting performance. A single bo-hi lightens the blade, improving balance and producing a crisp tachikaze (audible feedback) with every swing. The brass tsuba features an openwork motif reminiscent of flowing energy, symbolizing strength and movement. Matching brass fittings, including a detailed fuchi and kashira, complete the koshirae with traditional refinement.
The saya is finished in a striking blue-and-black lacquer pattern with golden streaks, creating a fiery aesthetic that contrasts beautifully with the navy ito over white rayskin on the tsuka. The tightly wrapped hilt ensures a secure grip, blending functionality with timeless artistry.
An ideal choice for practitioners and collectors seeking a katana that combines modern craftsmanship with bold, artistic expression.
Swords holder or stand sold separately.
