Description
Katana Guichai | Full Tang T10 Clay Tempered Steel Blade | Polished Edge | Natural-Tone Saya
The Guichai (“Spirit Envoy”) is a full-tang katana forged from T10 clay-tempered steel, admired for its hardness, sharpness, and the distinct hamon temper line produced by traditional differential heat treatment. Its shinogi-zukuri blade profile ensures balanced handling, making the sword suitable for both display and martial practice.
The blade is polished to highlight its gentle curvature and refined cutting geometry, expressing quiet control and precision. The tsuba features a dark engraved motif inspired by folklore guardians, evoking a sense of solemnity and silent vigilance, while the alloy fuchi and kashira provide reinforced structure and visual coherence throughout the mounting.
The saya has a natural light-brown tone that emphasizes simplicity and authenticity, and is paired with a black sageo for a calm, understated contrast. The tsuka is wrapped in black ito, with a white core subtly visible through the traditional diamond pattern, creating a secure and comfortable grip with a clear monochrome rhythm.
The Guichai katana represents duty, silence, and unwavering loyalty — a blade carried not for the display of power, but for the responsibility and resolve of its wielder.
