KSA “Jiang” Series Katana – Haruhisa | Hand-Forged T10 High Carbon Blade | Clay Tempered with Real Hitatsura Hamon | Full Tang | Sashikomi Polish | Hand-Fitted Fittings | Genuine Rayskin | Authentic Kissaki Geometry | Brown Ishime Saya | Tight-Fitted Tsuka Core | Martial Arts Practice
Haruhisa katana is named in honor of Amago Haruhisa (1514–1560), the powerful Sengoku daimyō who expanded the influence of the Amago clan through military leadership and strategic vision. This katana bears his name as a tribute to his strength, determination, and enduring martial legacy.
Hand-forged from T10 high-carbon steel, the blade is clay tempered to produce a striking Real Hitatsura hamon, where hardened patterns extend dramatically across the blade surface. Finished in an authentic sashikomi polish, the blade naturally showcases the genuine hamon while preserving the traditional beauty of Japanese sword polishing. Combined with a full-tang construction, authentic kissaki geometry, hand-fitted fittings, and a tight-fitted tsuka core, Haruhisa delivers excellent balance and dependable cutting performance.
The koshirae is centered around a round brass tsuba intricately carved with a powerful tiger motif, symbolizing courage, authority, and unwavering determination. The fuchi and kashira, crafted from white copper (cupronickel), feature the traditional Higo Yamamichi design, inspired by winding mountain paths and representing perseverance and resilience.
The tsuka is wrapped in brown cotton ito over genuine white samegawa, creating a warm, natural contrast while providing a secure and comfortable grip. The saya is finished in a traditional Brown Ishime lacquer, whose stone-textured surface offers durability and understated elegance. A matching deep brown sageo completes the koshirae, reinforcing the sword's balanced and disciplined appearance.
