Description

KSA “Huo” Series Katana – ScarletBloom | Hand-Forged T10 High Carbon Clay Tempered Blade | Polished Edge | Red Ishime Saya | Genuine Rayskin | Authentic Kissaki Structure

ScarletBloom is a katana from the Huo Series, defined by contrast, restraint, and controlled vitality. Forged from T10 high-carbon steel in Maru-zukuri construction, the blade emphasizes structural stability, clean geometry, and balanced handling, making it suitable for both martial arts practice and refined display.

The blade is clay tempered, revealing a smooth and continuous notare hamon that reflects disciplined heat control and careful edge formation. The surface finish remains understated, allowing the hamon to flow naturally along the blade without distraction. In use, the blade offers stable tracking and measured responsiveness, favoring precision over excess force.

The koshirae is fitted with a blackened iron tsuba featuring an openwork wave motif, symbolizing motion, continuity, and underlying strength. This is paired with white copper (cupronickel) fuchi and kashira adorned with raised sakura reliefs, introducing a refined floral contrast to the darker mount. A brass habaki secures the blade firmly while adding a subtle warmth to the overall composition.

The tsuka is wrapped in black ito over genuine red samegawa, creating a strong visual contrast while maintaining a secure, confident grip. The saya is finished in a red Ishime lacquer, its stone-textured surface evoking the image of a blossom emerging from stillness—restrained rather than flamboyant. A matching black sageo completes the mount, reinforcing balance and cohesion throughout the design.

ScarletBloom is not a sword defined by aggression or spectacle, but by contrast and composure. It reflects a moment where intensity is held in balance—an expression of quiet strength, disciplined craftsmanship, and enduring form. Well suited for practitioners and collectors who appreciate control, symbolism, and refined presence.
