Description
Performance Katana Storm Tiger with Maru Blade, Bo-Hi, Rain-Pattern Saya and Genuine Rayskin
The Storm Tiger is a performance-oriented katana forged from resilient spring steel in a traditional Maru construction, delivering exceptional toughness, flexibility, and dependable cutting performance. Designed for martial arts training and tameshigiri (test cutting), it embodies the fearless spirit of the tiger, combining decisive cutting ability with refined Japanese craftsmanship.
The blade features a full-length bo-hi, reducing overall weight while improving balance and producing a crisp tachikaze (audible feedback) with every swing. The brass maru-gata tsuba depicts a fierce tiger emerging through swirling clouds, symbolizing courage, dominance, and unwavering resolve. Matching brass fuchi-kashira continue the tiger motif, creating a cohesive koshirae that conveys both strength and elegance.
The tsuka is wrapped in tightly fitted deep brown ito over genuine white rayskin, providing a secure grip while offering a warm, traditional contrast. Completing the mounting is a black rain-pattern lacquer saya, paired with a matching deep brown sageo, adding subtle texture and understated sophistication while maintaining the durability expected of a performance katana.
An ideal choice for practitioners and collectors seeking a spring steel katana that combines reliable cutting performance with the commanding presence and untamed spirit of the storm-born tiger.
