Description

KSA “Huo” Series Katana – VajraAxe | Hand-Forged T10 High Carbon Clay Tempered Blade | Sanbonsugi Hamon | Sashikomi Polish | Red Ishime Saya | Genuine Rayskin | Authentic Kissaki Structure

VajraAxe is a katana from the Huo Series, defined by strength, structure, and disciplined force. Forged from T10 high-carbon steel in Maru-zukuri construction, the blade emphasizes structural integrity, clean geometry, and controlled balance, making it suitable for martial arts practice as well as refined display.

The blade is clay tempered, revealing a bold and rhythmic Sanbonsugi hamon—a pattern associated with power and repetition, formed through precise heat control. The polished surface remains restrained and clear, allowing the strong cadence of the hamon to stand out without distraction. In handling, the blade tracks decisively, favoring commitment and stability over excess fluidity.

The koshirae is fitted with a blackened iron mokkō-gata tsuba, featuring openwork axe motifs that symbolize decisive force and unwavering intent. The fuchi and kashira are crafted from white copper, decorated with raised vajra (thunderbolt) reliefs, reinforcing the theme of indestructibility and spiritual strength. A brass habaki secures the blade firmly while providing a warm metallic contrast.

The tsuka is wrapped in black ito over genuine white samegawa, offering a solid, confident grip with a restrained visual presence. The saya is finished in a red Ishime lacquer, its stone-textured surface conveying weight and grounded authority rather than gloss. A matching black sageo completes the mount, maintaining balance and cohesion throughout the composition.

VajraAxe is not a blade of ornament or excess. It is defined by form, repetition, and resolve—an expression of disciplined power shaped for practitioners and collectors who value structure, symbolism, and enduring presence.
