Description
Performance Katana Verdant Vines with Maru Blade, Polished Edge with Decorative Hamon, Black Brushstroke Saya and Genuine Rayskin
The Katana Verdant Vines is a performance-grade sword forged in Maru construction from modern steel, offering excellent durability and responsive handling. Designed for tameshigiri (test cutting) and traditional martial arts practice, it achieves a perfect harmony between refined elegance and functional strength.
The blade features a smooth, polished edge with clean lines that highlight its precise geometry and cutting performance. A single bo-hi lightens the blade and enhances balance, producing a crisp tachikaze (audible feedback) with every swing. The tsuba is intricately carved with flowing karakusa (arabesque vines) and floral motifs, symbolizing vitality, resilience, and natural beauty. A matching kashira continues this floral design, lending harmony and depth to the koshirae.
The saya is finished in a glossy black lacquer with dynamic gold and silver brushstrokes, evoking the image of wind-swept bamboo leaves glinting in the light. Paired with a deep green sageo and ito wrapped tightly over genuine rayskin, it provides a secure grip and aesthetic elegance. A brass kojiri completes the fittings, adding a subtle warm accent to the sophisticated design.
An exceptional choice for practitioners and collectors alike, the Katana Verdant Vines seamlessly blends modern craftsmanship with the timeless poetry of Japanese sword artistry.
