Description
KSA “Qing” Series – WhiteRain Katana | Performance Spring Steel Blade | Decorative Tōran-ba Hamon with Shinken-hi | White Saya | Genuine Rayskin Handle
The WhiteRain Katana is crafted from Performance-grade Spring Steel and fully quenched, providing excellent toughness and flexibility, making it suitable for practical cutting exercises. The blade features a stunning decorative Tōran-ba (Tidal Wave) hamon, with the hamon area finished using a combination of togi polishing and sandblasting, offering good rust resistance and scratch protection, and creating a striking contrast with the mirror-polished hi and ji areas. The blade comes with a functional Shinken-hi groove by default, enhancing both its aesthetics and handling performance.
The tsuba is made of iron in a mokko-shaped design, complemented by a Fuchi and Kashira in smooth white copper, adding subtle elegance. The habaki is polished brass. The handle is wrapped with black tsuka-ito over genuine ray skin (samegawa). The saya is finished in white lacquer with black rain-drop accents, and the sageo is matching black.
This katana harmoniously combines traditional aesthetics with modern craftsmanship, making it both a beautiful display piece and a functional blade for cutting practice. It is an exclusive design and creation by our Australian KSA brand, offering exceptional value for our supporting katana enthusiasts.
