Description
Peaceful yet poised, Still Waters Frog is a full-tang handcrafted wooden katana that channels the quiet strength of nature. Its unique lotus-shaped tsuba with a crouching frog motif symbolizes awareness, patience, and transformation—hallmarks of the martial way.
The blade is carved from dense hardwood, complete with a single bo-hi (groove) to improve handling and realism. The tsuka features black cord wrapping over a vivid red base, forming a traditional diamond pattern, while the copper-toned habaki and brass seppa offer structural realism. The tsuba, cast in antiqued brass, resembles a blooming lotus leaf, with a sculpted frog resting atop—inviting contemplation and stillness in motion.
The black textured saya adds visual depth with a stone-grain finish, subtly referencing rippling water or lacquered bark. Whether used for training, Iaido practice, or aesthetic appreciation, Still Waters Frog embodies grace, discipline, and symbolic artistry.
※This is a handcrafted full-tang wooden katana, made from solid hardwood with rich grain and refined texture. The blade has been upgraded to improve stiffness, effectively reducing excessive flex or wobbling during swings. With balanced proportions and a comfortable feel, it is ideal for martial arts training, cosplay, or practice in Iaido and Kendo.
While this wooden sword is suitable for technique training, it is not intended for cutting or actual combat use.
Sword stand or holder is sold separately for display or collection purposes.
